Your 9 Lives
Lets continue to get you where you need to be with your work space environment.
I hope you have taken a little time to think about. the first question. That one was the most important. So now on to question two.
2. How long have you been at your job.
You might not think this is important. But most companies when they look at resumes look at your years in total that you worked at your previous job. That question basically tells them if they should risk hiring you based on how long you may or may not stay with them.
How many years of experience do you have with your current job. Five years is a good number. But no less than two years. Also have you held the same position or did you work hard to keep moving up in the company. These are all things to consider if you are just completely fed up and want to make a change.
No problem is too small if it personally affects you. But make sure before you leave that you have a legitimate reason to put down on your application. A lot of places not only look for the years worked, but also the reason for leaving. If you just cannot take it anymore than don't wait. Go out and look for that new job. But you need to cover your bases. Make sure you give adequate notice to your employer and find something new before you leave. That will alleviate a lot of stress that could potentially be brought upon you.
Back to the topic at hand. Because this question is not very hard to decipher I'm keeping it short and sweet. Your mental health is way more important than staying somewhere that makes you unhappy. Don't use all nine lives at once. Unless you are very happy with where you are at, remember that there are plenty of fish in the sea and how do you know which one you like the most without trying more than one.
